Not to uh, be obscenely picky, but this map shows the situation in Greece more accurately. I'm mainly looking at Morea, and the size of Byzantine and Venetian holdings there versus the Principality of Achaea.

I also think the extent of Venetian control in Dalmatia is less deep than depicted on the map. Their influence undoubtedly extends that far, but territorial control, less so. It also seems it's actually suzerainty over Ragusa, so maps of that republic might be indicative.

Oh, and as I previously indicated, the Duchy of Athens is my vassal too - its in their NPC stats, but not mine, so just wanted to check.

Otherwise things look good! Sorry to unload inaccuracies on you, just thought now might be better than later. The map is still really good :3
No worries, venetian influence is mainly what i was going for in that area. Will be out of state for the next few days, so my editing options will be limited, but ill add the duchy of athens to your stats later on

A minor point, but Caithness should be Scottish after the Treaty of Perth, as explained here.

Alrighty, awesome, thanks scorp. Just wanted to make sure we were all on the same page there :3

EDIT: Oh!

I also have a feeling the Papal territory in Provence should be much, much smaller than shown on the map.

Basically a matter of controlling the ports and trade in Greece rather than governing territory outside the cities directly, other than the Aegean islands, Negroponte and Crete (and the Adriatic stuff).

Alright, so it's probably a little too late to point this out, and it's not necessarily an inaccuracy per se, but I do have to admit I'm a little dubious of the comparative amount of units between England and France. I recognize that the English have a rather more centralized system (of sorts) than the French at present, and that they were certainly capable of raising large armies (up to 100K in the first Scottish war, looks like?), but we're also talking about a country that was estimated to have a population that only grew to somewhere between twenty five percent to maybe (generously) a half of France's own population (using the numbers of their historical area, not modern borders).

So, while an argument can certainly be made for England having a substantial army (which makes sense to me), I'm thinking that the French may in fact be a little nerfed, considering we're looking at a nation that in ten years in the historical future could raise an army of upwards to 130,000. Maybe that's just my own reckoning, though, and I'm not gonna get all up in a fuss about it, but it'd be nice to at least understand the logic behind current military sizes.

Coin had asked me about that too, currently England has a little over 15,000 troops in the stats, represented by those 105 units. However a little over half are levies coming back with Edward from the 9th crusade. Most of them will go back to there farms at the end of the year. This will bring Englands unit number closer to that of France.

Hope that clears things up a bit.

Fixed Norway, and Sicily in the stats(I know there are a few other npcs left out atm, will fix those sunday). Huojin and Smyg got their turns. The map alterations will have to wait until I Return from New Hampshire, can probably do that sunday night.

Thank you for bringing this stuff forward fellas, easier to get it all done in the beginning rather then later on. It's tough essentially having an AI's job, so I know I miss things here and there.

Not to worry scorp, we all know it's like this at the start of games.

By the way, just remembered I should be receiving tribute from the Sultan of Tunis.

Oh, and just another quick question - what's the relation between number of units and unit upkeep? There doesn't seem to be anything of the sort obviously stated in the stats. And do we recover anything if we disband units?

I will add these to rules, but up keep for all military units is 2, for simplicity sake.

If you disband a unit, you get half their recruitment cost back.

Am I able to place troops/garrisons/shipyards in my vassals, or only on territory under my direct rule?
