We call upon all members of the international community to pledge aid to Bangladesh, in light of cyclone Sidr; which has devastated the people there. Our government estimates that over 600c of damage has been caused, and in response to this catastrophe hitting the poor people of Bangladesh, we have committed to donating 300c to be used in disaster relief send repairing the damage done to Bangladesh.

We urge more aid to be sent.

JICA will, as always, be swinging promptly into action to respond to this disaster and provide aid in disaster relief and reconstruction on the ground, in co-operation with the JNDF.
