Nahh mate. It's definitely hotter these days. We'd get heat like this now and again, but it's a prolonged thing now. We're hardly a rain-sodden bunch throughout all the summer, but it's much hotter now.

That's more what I meant, people overseas being convinced that England is grey and rainy all the time. And really, this is still nowhere near as bad as 2003, let alone the 1970s summers I've been told of.
