Merged this post ^ into the Ideas Dump because in its current state it's more appropriate for here.

Ok, random idea. Morrowind Govsim/rpg.

Game would operate like a standard govsim, set a couple years after Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind. Along with political intrigue you could also level up your characters and use your skills like a typical rpg.
1990: Israel
Metal Gear: Iran
New Vegas: Salvador
Brazil: Proletarian Unification Party
1936: Empire of Japan
1971: China
Kaiserreich: CSA
You either die Fo'Dolo or see yourself live long enough to be the Patton.

In a very weird coincidence, without any knowledge of this, I've been working on a RPG-style game set in Skyrim during the classic Third Era (after the reign of Pelagius the Mad, so that nobody's at a disadvantage for being unfamiliar with the game). Players would have Vanaheimr 3-esque freedom in creation and actions, although the main plot hooks will be intertwined. You can adventure, etc., but survival will also be very important (albeit kept by a more simple system than before). The game is probably like, 40% done.

Still developing HK Inc., for what it's worth, but it's a labor of love that will probably take me forever to be ready, if at all. So in the meantime, with our sudden downturn in running games, lemme hit y'all with the two I'm currently interested in running.

Pale Green Dot

Set in the aforementioned cyberpunk future of the HKverse, Pale Green Dot -the nickname for Proxima Centauri B, the nearest potentially habitable exoplanet by conservative estimates- would be a bit of a companion game and intro to my potential magnum opus/complete waste of my energy. Taking place on said planet, gameplay would resemble a more streamlined, less feverishly-paced version of some of BG's earlier games - largely freeform, with more potential for creativity. Players would take the place of nascent colonial powers, from states to NGOs and megacorps, on the dangerous but lucrative world of Malakut, renowned for its strange biofluorescent lifeforms, mineral wealth, and occasional solar flares impacting the planet in strange ways (simulated by an RNG that may hinder and help players). Focus would be both on survival and accumulating enough power to give your Earth-based benefactors the edge they need to dominate Proxima Centauri as humanity's home continues to decay. Setting-wise, think a space Western, with some horror, Age of Discovery, and intrigue elements.

City Upon a Hill

It is 1846, and Dr. Arthur Irvine, Presbyterian minister, Utopian theorist, Kabbalist, and all around eccentric, is dead; his legacy a disjointed collection of ramblings, several illegitimate children, and your home, the communal settlement of Danielston. The past two years have been hard enough in Irvine's strange project, a small village in the Wisconsin Territory populated by an odd mixture of German idealists, British immigrants, and American pioneers, but now you face the demise of his dream: a truly just society under Christ's vision (or the Doctor's interpretation thereof), where love is free, property held in common trust, and men and women live in relative equality. This small town govsim will be, like the above, focused largely on survival - two counters will track the threat of the town's collapse at the hands of the territorial government or internal forces, including the very mundane threat of starvation throughout the bleak Wisconsin winter. This is a govsim, of course, so several factions will exist, ranging from loyalists to those who seek further incorporation with the pioneer society around them, and each player will have an influence tracker to measure their supporters in the two-hundred person village. The game, unlike most of ours, has a definite stopping point, either ending when one of the counters gets too high or a specific player (or group thereof) gets enough influence to mandate the town's future development according to their own vision.

You know I love your HKverse, but there's also something irresistible about utopian communes. I also like the limited aspect of the game!

So far, PGD has 3 expressions of interest vs. 2 for City Upon a Hill. Will provide further fleshing out if I get more expressions of interest one way or the other, can also answer questions on Messenger or Discord.
