I also believe Russia could have a little more of Income, not comparable to the other european powers, but still, i think a little more income should be in place, especially for the time period.

So what exactly does investment do, in game terms?

(Also, expressing interest for Japan early, so that my inactivity counts as IC action.)

It's my new re-worded blanket economic action. So the usual shite, really. Though if you have a way to change it/update it/make it better that doesn't involve totally re-writing the game mechanics in that way that you (... and I) often end up doing, I'm happy to hear it.

As for Japan...

Having spoken to Rin (always a great source of criticism and ideas), I'm making the following additions which'll be reflected in the final game:

*Given that there's a trade feature, there'll also be a wartime malus of some sort to trade, which you can obviously avoid if you win the naval confrontation with your enemy/enemies.
*The "Commission Privateers" action is being re-tooled as more of an economic sabotage action designed to issue letters of marque for raiding other nation's trade, rather than as "mercenary" boats.
*Prestige is back! Actions with successful outcomes will boost your prestige, losing battles or wars or having national embarrassments will harm it, etc. The person with the highest prestige at the end wins, of course, but prestige will also have an in-game effect comparable to foreign popularity - so if you have a high prestige, others will respect you and be more willing to deal with you favourable, and so on.

ANYWAY

SIGN UPS ARE NOW OPEN FROM HERE DOWNWARDS

Nothing anyone has said previously counts or should be taken as a claim of any nature - they're merely declarative statements, I encourage people to sign up without much guilt. I'll only intervene if I'm concerned about activity levels or something.

These 9 nations are needed first, once they're all taken I'll make some suggestions for other nations people can take. If you'd like to play and haven't already said you're interested, but don't want one of these 9, post or ask me separately and we'll figure something out.

Great Britain - scorp
France - Seren
Spain - MoO
Hapsburgs (Austria) - Luc
Prussia - Smyg
Poland-Lithuania - Maddox
Sweden - Gesar
Russia - Cephal
Ottomans - Flamelord

Netherlands - Bomie
Denmark-Norway - DutchGuy
