Fallout Game

Postby Master of Oblivion » 10:23:19 Wednesday, 08 February, 2017

Yo, I am planning on running a fallout game. I realized I could best design the game if I got an accurate number of people interested, so if you want to join post below.

The game will be set in the Mojave Wasteland a few years before New Vegas. Most players will be in charge of vaults that have recently opened. You will try to navigate the wasteland, gaining supplies. If enough people are interested, I might open up minor factions like the Fiends and the Kings too.

It's worth considering. But it might be more interesting if you widen the field and let people creatively make their own factions, even if everyone's starting abilities are similar.

In, even if I think that the east coast would be more interesting in the 2277 startdate.

I was planning something like that. Each player can pick the unique quirk of their vault.

Do you have a minimum number of players you'd want?
The Gesarist Manifesto, chapter 5 opening foreword wrote:"The guerrilla must move like a fish in the sea, namely by drinking until you can delude yourself into hoping rich bastards will be gone one day."

  • Louisiana 1792: Fils de la Révolution - GM/Author
  • Balance of Power: 1968 - Iraqi Republic
  • Saenwyn: A Song of Ashes - Corentin of House Tremayne, King of Saenwyn and Defender of the Realm

(excuse me while I blow my own trumpet)

All just being vaults is still pretty limiting for the Fallout universe. I mean, Vaults have wierdness, but they're still all just Vault-Tec experiments.

That could work too. Perhaps players can pm me their idea for screening?

One thing that springs to mind, even in 2077, the Mojave Wasteland is pretty stratified by the main New Vegas factions, what with the First Battle of Hoover Dam occurring that year. It's going to be pretty hard for small factions to get anywhere given the set-up running in Vegas specifically and the disruption caused by the major factions tearing things up. Are you sure you want to re-use the Mojave?

Exactly. The commonwealth or DC would be better, as it is either just post-dangerous enclave, or before ( no lone wanderer restarting project purity prompting the Enclave to invade)or a region that has no main battles for years to come.

I would suggest using a region that has never been detailed before for creative freedom and so nobody knows what to expect. South border with Mexico area?

Or Philadelphia, Richmond, Chicago, all good regions.

I also am interested in this. Although I may not be able to GM while in the academy, I could manage participating in a game.

If this one goes successfully, I plan on hosting a game in a player created world.

I will try to work on this tonight, but my internet is atrocious in Nigeria.

If it's good enough for all those nice princes who want to give me ONE MILLION AMERICAN DOLLARS then surely it's good enough for you? :p
