1 Year Later

Post by CWestfall » 09:55:33 Thursday, 01 August, 2013

Molotov has been a forum for almost a year! I thought it would be nice to observe the occasion with a thread, and since I am a nerd, I thought it would be best to share with you all some statistics from our first 11 months, 30 days, 10 hours, and 26 minutes. :geek:
  • Molotov has been active for 11 months, 30 days, 10 hours, and 26 minutes.
  • Tsaeb was the first registered user on the board.
  • Molotov has accumulated 10072 posts, this being the 10073rd.
  • Molotov has gotten search engine traffic from three combinations of search keywords: "winterfell great hall", "winterfell trident", and "rules baratheon painted table cancel". Since I don't watch Game of Thrones, I don't know what any of that means.
  • RinKou accounts for 3.01% of all posts on the forum, meaning only 96.99% of all posts during the first year contained insufficient :3, !, and :V
  • Over the past year, 19.64 GB of data has been transferred by molotov.applied-logistics.org; the average visit uses about half a megabyte of bandwidth.
  • The top 8 countries of origin for visitors are the United States, Great Britain, Sweden, Australia, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, and Bulgaria. Who would have guessed.
  • The top 3 referring websites (Not including search engines) are all Mibbit servers.
  • Huojin posting Game I deadlines or reminding people of existing deadlines accounts for 0.71% of all posts on the board.
  • Molotov has 65 members; however, only 48 of them have ever posted.
  • About half of all topics on the board are in archived game forums.
  • Both our global mods have higher post counts than any admin.
  • All 5 admins have higher post counts than the root admin.
  • The root admin has a higher post count than 20 registered users.
  • With 31.8 replies per thread on average, Off-Topic is the most densely packed forum, and with 2544 posts, is also the most popular accounting for over a quarter of all posts on the board.
  • 0 out of 7 games on the Games Currently Running list are currently running. This means the list should probably be updated more often than every 4 months, 26 days, 6 hours, and 8 minutes. CWestfall should probably get on that.
  • Molotov lives in Provo, Utah
  • On average since the 15th of July, 1 new spam account per day has been created to sell us knockoff viagra.

In the spirit of current AV shenanigans, and Rin's post above

モロトフ ばんざい

Molotov Banzai!

I apologise to Rin and everyone else with the vaguest knowledge of Japanese for my shoddy wiki copypasting. More seriously, it's funny to think that was a year ago. Glad to see we're still about, anyway :D

It is a special day indeed. Let's have a yearly status report like this every year.

See you all in Pyongyang in 2045 :P

The countries got ranked by bandwidth usage, descending. Frankly I'm still amazed that Canada ranks 5th.
